The Leith Museum Group has been established to build the case for a Leith museum. We believe that the historic port of Leith deserves a museum to tell the story of our community, which is also a key part of the story of Edinburgh and of Scotland itself. Many of the most significant events in the story of Scotland have taken place in Leith, and it is time that importance was reflected in both a building and a programme of activity involving Leithers and all those interested in our history.

The Leith Museum Group consists of a cross section of the local community in Leith, bringing together community leaders, church representatives, local business people and those with an interest in local history.
The Group is chaired by Edinburgh North & Leith Member of Parliament, Mark Lazarowicz.
Leading businessman and prominent Leither Sir Tom Farmer, DL, CBE, has agreed to be our Patron.
